WHAT I CAN HELP WITH

There are many reasons why people seek therapy. Whether it is only a vague sense of something not being right, a difficult memory or feeling that won't go away, a desire to make a robust change or trying to make sense of life when a change has been thrust upon you, I will support you on the way and we will go at your pace.

Presenting concerns I work with most often include, but are not limited to:

  • Lack of connection with self and/or others

  • Mental Health of Healthcare Professionals

  • Repetitive Life Patterns

  • Depression and/or Anxiety

  • Relationship Issues

  • Anger

  • Boundaries

  • Loneliness & Isolation

  • Emotional Regulation & Stress Management

  • Loss & Grief

  • Loss of Purpose

  • Life Transitions

  • Confidence & Self-Esteem

  • Nightmares

  • Sex & Intimacy

  • Identity & Belonging

  • Shame

  • Trauma (including dental and medical)

Choosing to start counselling is not always easy, even if it will benefit us. I offer an initial 15 minutes telephone or video conversation (free of charge) to understand what brings you to therapy, and to give you a chance to ask any questions you might have. Once we have agreed to working together, we will be meeting weekly on the same day and time till our work is completed. The sessions last 50 minutes from the time agreed. Depending on your needs and what you want to achieve, the course of our work can be either fixed-term or open-ended. I offer online counselling and psychotherapy, as well as sessions in person. For those with busy lives, I have some evening availability.

Therapy can be powerful, although not all therapists are suitable for everyone. It is important that we are a good match, and that my approach is in line with you and your goals. If it seems that working together might not be helpful then we can discuss other options.
